Table Of Contents

Can you remember when you first heard about the benefits of CBD? Over the past few years, the cannabinoid compound has gained traction all over the world, and now a huge range of CBD products are available, from e-liquids to capsules, opening the market up to everyone who wants to bring CBD into their life.

Anyone can suffer from pain, inflammation, and mental health conditions and some celebrities have been vocal about using CBD or other cannabis products to help them through the toughest times. Especially in the USA where cannabis has been legalised in many states, the variety of CBD products is incredible, meaning that the compound is becoming more and more mainstream on both sides of the Atlantic.

Morgan Freeman, Actor

Morgan Freeman is well known for being one of Hollywood’s most prolific actors. Having starred in films such as Shawshank Redemption and Bruce Almighty, he was also an advocate for the legalisation of medical marijuana.

After a car accident left him with a serious shoulder and arm injury, he turned to medical cannabis in order to treat his nerve damage and fibromyalgia. He’s openly talked about how cannabis is the only thing that offers adequate pain relief, which is largely thought to be a result of the presence of CBD in cannabis and the combined effects of cannabinoids that cause the entourage effect.

Whoopi Goldberg, Actor and TV Presenter

After her acting career in films such as Sister Act and Ghost, Whoopi Goldberg has now become a regular feature on The View – an American panel talk show. She is a well known cannabis advocate, and even has her own shop that sells edibles, tinctures, and salves to ease pain. Whoopi herself uses a vape pen that she reportedly uses to treat her own pain, stress, and glaucoma.

Montel Williams, Television Personality

Montel Williams, an American TV personality, suffers from Multiple Sclerosis and uses medical marijuana for relief. When travelling through Frankfurt airport in 2016, police found powdered cannabis in his luggage, but it was prescribed for medical use. As a result, he was not arrested.

Williams has also attempted to produce medical-grade CBD oil for sale, and now his company Lenitiv Labs produces CBD capsules that are 100% free from THC. He is an advocate of medical marijuana.

Nate Diaz, UFC Fighter

Nate Diaz, a hugely popular mixed martial arts fighter who’s bested opponents such as Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone, introduced CBD to the world of sport back in 2016 when he vaped CBD at a post-match press conference. He has said it relieves pain, heals injuries, and prevents swelling if he vapes before and after a fight. He uses it as part of his training and workout regime to help with the inflammation.

Michael Fox, Actor

After being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease at the age of 29, Michael Fox began to suffer more and more as his symptoms developed. He says, “If there is anything working with CBD oil has shown me, it’s that there is always hope. Even for the hopeless.”

Studies have indicated that CBD could help Parkinson’s sufferers by increasing levels of dopamine in the body, allowing greater mobility and less involuntary shaking or muscle seizures, resulting in less sore or tender joints.

Jennifer Aniston, Actor

Best known for her role in long-running sitcom Friends, Jennifer Aniston has said that “CBD helps with pain, stress and anxiety, it has all the benefits of marijuana without the high”.

She’s not alone in using the substance to aid her mental health. Many sufferers all over the world use CBD oil in this way, with anecdotal evidence showing that it could be useful in relieving symptoms of anxiety, depression, and insomnia.

Olivia Wilde, Actor

Known for her roles in House and on Broadway in 1984, she started using CBD when her body was under strain due to an intensive 6 month run of shows on Broadway. “My body was wrecked. My neck was really tight. The CBD has relaxing benefits, and the idea is to avoid using too many painkillers.”

Sir Patrick Stewart, Actor

Patrick Stewart is one of the few British celebrities that have voiced their recommendations for CBD use. He vocally supported the high profile case of Alfie Dingley, the child that was denied life altering cannabis medication by the UK government.

He has also said that he uses cannabis based medicines daily to treat severe arthritis. He has said that research around cannabis medicines has “for too long been held back by prejudice, fear and ignorance”.

Kim Kardashian, Reality TV Star

Kim Kardashian famously hosted a CBD themed baby shower for her 4th child, Psalm. At the baby shower, guests made CBD infused bath salts and body oils, and participated in a gong bath to keep the chill vibes going. She wrote on her Instagram “Anyone that knows me knows I am obsessed with CBD everything!”.

She most likely uses CBD-infused beauty products, as well as CBD oils to aid anxiety and sleep.
