A Guide To CBD Oil Dosage
Having the right information about CBD dosage is important before you start taking CBD oil or vaping an e liquid with CBD. Knowing how much CBD to take, in whatever your method of taking CBD might be, will mean it’s more likely to have a positive effect on you, providing the necessary relief or bringing about the health benefits you need.
How much CBD oil should you take?
As it stands, there is very little guidance for CBD dosage due to varying factors – the main one being that everyone has a different cannabinoid receptor make-up and absorbs different amounts.
The good news is that while CBD is gaining more traction as a legitimate and lawful medicine, and cannabinoids are being studied more closely, there are some more measurable factors that affect how we might determine and monitor the correct CBD oil dosage.
These include variables such as body composition (height and weight), what’s being treated (headaches, pain, anxiety, insomnia, etc), and the concentration of the CBD oil you’re using.
The most effective dosage will also depend on the product that’s being taken. Taking CBD products that are made with the focus on maximum bio-availability, which is the degree and rate at which a substance is absorbed into the bloodstream, will also affect how effective the CBD oil is and how much of it you’ll need.
Finding your correct CBD oil dosage
Manufacturer Recommendations
The best place to start with your search for the right dosage is to read the manufacturer or retailer suggestions.
CBD Oil Strength
As each manufacturer uses different concentrations of CBD and other cannabinoids when making CBD oil, its strength can vary significantly.
Body Weight
As well as manufacturer recommendations based on the strength of the CBD oil, you need to take into account your body weight. The heavier you are, the more CBD you will have to ingest to get the same effective dose as a lighter person.
What’s being treated
Finally, there’s the scale of your pain or condition. If you’re medicating a minor issue with CBD oil, you might not need a full dose. However, if you’re experiencing much more severe pain or discomfort, you might want to take more than the recommended dose.
Using those four main factors, you can begin to experiment with your dosage, starting low and getting higher if you find it’s not enough. We would recommend you try each level of dosage for a three-day period before deciding on it and, generally, our customers find that they begin to feel benefits after 5-7 days of use and often don’t have to continue with daily use after the first month.
