What is the difference between CBD and CBG?
Cannabidiol (CBD) and Cannabigerol (CBG) are two completely different cannabinoids that are both found in the cannabis plant. CBG is the lesser known of the two and is naturally only found in very small amounts during the early part of the flowering stage, however – it is an important cannabinoid that provides the foundation for other compounds that are later formed in the plant. Similarly, to CBD, it doesn’t have any psychoactive properties.
How much CBD should I take?
As a beginner to CBD, it’s usually recommended that you start off with a small amount or low strength e-liquid. Also keep in mind that the reverse tolerance effect of CBD means that the more you use it, the less you will have to take to feel relief.
How long do the effects of CBD e-liquid with CBG last?
Everybody responds to CBD differently, so it’s difficult to say exactly how long the effects of CBD will last for you. Generally, though, we hear reports of the effects of our products lasting for up to 3 hours before wearing off.
What is the best wattage to vape at?
The wattage that you vape at is decided by the device you use, so make sure to pay attention to the instructions that come with your vape pen or starter kit. Heating your CBD vape pen to the right temperature will make sure that the cannabinoids and terpenes are vaporised properly.
Most coils have a rating printed onto them and you simply relate to the coils rating – For example 0.15ohm = 40-70 W. If you’re unsure, consult the device and coil instructions from the manufacturer of your device.
What is the PG/VG ratio?
Vape juice is made from two main substances, propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerine (VG). PG is a thin, tasteless liquid that gives a throat hit to simulate the feeling of smoking tobacco. VG is a thick, sweet liquid that produces vapour clouds.
The PG to VG ratio of our CBD e-liquid with CBG is 50/50. The PG/VG ratio of Canavape Complete is 70/30.
CBG vs CBD
From a chemical standpoint, the two compounds bear many resemblances, however there are significant differences between CBG and CBD.
Firstly, CBD is far more researched than CBG and therefore can be confidently used in a medicinal fashion. CBG research is more limited but current findings suggest it can help with appetite loss, bladder dysfunction, cancer and IBD.
Another difference is availability. Producing CBD takes around 20 times less plant matter than making the same amount of CBG, making CBD prices lower.
What is CBG?
Cannabigerol (CBG) is a type of cannabinoid obtained from the cannabis plant. It is found in smaller quantities than other cannabinoids, and makes consumer products rare and sometimes expensive. It is growing in popularity as a result of the host of potential benefits it has to offer.
What are the benefits of CBG?
Like CBD, CBG has been used to combat pain. CBG works by binding to receptors where it is thought to strengthen the function of anandamide, a neurotransmitter that plays a role in enhancing pleasure and motivation, regulating appetite and sleep, and alleviating pain.
Is CBG natural?
Yes, CBG is a completely natural compound and forms during the early growth stages of the cannabis plant. Some potential confusion around CBG’s natural status comes from the process used to extract it.
Can you vape CBG?
Yes, you can. Like with other cannabinoids, vaping comes down pretty much to whether you can find a specific vape liquid or additive that has the cannabinoid you’re looking for.
